设计一款智能流浪猫窝的想法源于百度发起的AI暖宠联盟。一位收养过流浪猫的朋友向我提出了这个设想——为流浪动物提供一款搭载面部识别系统的收容所。该系统通过观测猫群的生存状态和种群数量,为提高绝育和领养效率提供可靠的数据支持。进而推动“以领养代替买卖”行为的普及,帮助城市生态的进一步改善。

The idea of designing an intelligent stray cat nest comes from the AI pet Alliance launched by Baidu. A friend who has adopted stray cats put forward this idea to me ——to provide a shelter equipped with facial recognition system for stray animals. The system provides reliable data support for improving the efficiency of sterilization and adoption by observing the survival state and population of cats. Then promote the popularization of “adoption instead of buying” and help further improve the urban ecology.

我们团队中的许多人都有多年的流浪猫救助经验。这些经验告诉我们,单纯的救助其实解决不了太多问题。而通过大数据干涉猫群的生育和领养的普及,或许能对城市动物保护工作起到更大的积极作用。于是,我们便欣然接受了这项设计任务。

Many people in our team have many years of experience in stray cat rescue. These experiences tell us that simple assistance can not solve all problems. Through big data to interfere with the popularity of cat breeding and adoption, it may play a greater positive role in urban animal protection. So we gladly accepted the design task.

要实现对流浪猫的可持续性保护,便不能过度干预,还要着眼于对其自身习性的保护。流浪猫不喜群居,对外界环境的变化具有一定的身体调节和抵抗能力,大包大揽反而会降低其生存能力。尤其应当维持大多数流浪猫对人类的警惕性,这是对它们的一种生存保障。比较而言,我们认为“繁殖干预”才是的一种更好的思路。更少的流浪猫,更多的收养行为。这才能从根本上缓解流浪动物对城市生态的负面影响。
In order to realize the sustainable protection of stray cats, we should not intervene excessively, but also focus on the protection of their own habits. Stray cats do not like to live in groups and have certain physical adjustment and resistance to changes in the external environment. Taking all the responsibility will reduce their viability. In particular, the vigilance of most stray cats to humans should be maintained, which is a guarantee for their survival. In comparison, we believe that “reproductive intervention” is a better idea. Fewer stray cats, more adoption. This can fundamentally alleviate the negative impact of stray animals on urban ecology.

1. 以猫为本:以猫的生活习性和空间灵活性为出发点,以300mm左右一个猫体工程学单元为模数,减小空间,同时增加私密空间,剔除不必要的外观装饰。 2. 色彩选择:猫对高色调的颜色不敏感,且过分鲜艳在环境中也容易带来不必要的危险。因此选取会让猫感到安全的低纯度色系。 3. 材质环保耐用:不易破碎,重量轻质便于拆装。所以选择了金属外壳和柔软的内衬以及自然的木材。

1. Cat oriented: Taking the living habits and spatial flexibility of cats as the starting point and taking a cat body engineering unit of about 300mm as the module, reduce the space, increase the private space and eliminate unnecessary appearance decoration. 2. color selection: cats are not sensitive to high tone colors and are too bright, which is also easy to bring unnecessary danger in the environment. Therefore, choose a low purity color system that will make cats feel safe. 3. environmentally friendly and durable material: not easy to break, light weight and easy to disassemble. So we chose metal shell, soft lining and natural wood.

在机械结构的设计部分,充分考虑到安全性与抗噪音需求。主要应用杆式电机,自主研发了整体框架结构。经过反复试验,打造出灵活安静的自动推拉门系统。在接收AI猫脸识别信号后,顺滑开启,定时关闭。

In the design of mechanical structure, the requirements of safety and anti noise are fully considered. It mainly applies rod motor and independently develops the overall frame structure. After repeated tests, a flexible and quiet automatic sliding door system is created. After receiving the AI cat face recognition signal, it will be opened smoothly and closed regularly.

2020年以来,该系统已经进行过多次的网络直播,广受好评。目前该系统还在正常运转中。
