威廉姆斯学院广场景观设计

STIMSON STUDIO：作为全美领先的文科学院，威廉姆斯学院这次在其历史悠久的校园结构中融入了一种明显而大胆的自然环境肌理。

STIMSON STUDIO：As the leading liberal arts college in the country, Williams College is boldly integrating a visible environmental ethic into the fabric of their historic campus.

STIMSON设计事务所目前正在开展该校其他的一系列项目，包括新招生中心以及未来威廉姆斯酒店场地。

STIMSON is currently undertaking a series of projects including the new Admissions Center and the site for the future Williams Inn.

校园中心的旧索耶图书馆已于2015年拆除，据此，STIMSON为该学院创想设计了首个21世纪广场空间，并将这个有着独特的设计空间的广场设想为一个可与其山地式学校相关联的新绿地，向人们展示出一种“岩层”上的创意性户外聚会方式，以及雨水花园式的校园径流管理。

At the heart of the campus, the old Sawyer Library was demolished in 2015. STIMSON envisioned the first 21st century quadrangle for the College. Conceived as a new green with uniquely crafted spaces that relate to their roots as a mountain school, this new quad presents a revelatory approach to creative outdoor gathering at ‘the ledges’ and the innovative management of campus runoff at the expansive stormwater garden.

近处，从分隔校园的宽阔道路中延伸出来的查品霍尔步行道，小心翼翼地穿过校园，将历史街区与观景台、建筑和绿地融为一体。

Nearby, Chapin Hall Drive is transformed from a wide road that subdivides the campus to a new pedestrian way that weaves carefully through campus, integrating historic allees with viewsheds, architecture and green space.
