日本住房市场是一个特殊的现象。与西方国家的住宅不同,随着时间的推移,日本住宅的价值迅速贬值。正如经济学家RichardKoo和MasayaSasaki在2008年的一份报告中所指出的那样,一个典型的住宅在建成后的15年内就会失去所有的经济价值。房屋的物理寿命也是有限的-估计木质建筑的平均寿命为20年,混凝土结构的平均寿命为30岁。
这是一种文化上的反常现象,使得今天在阿姆斯特丹画廊Looiersgracht 60举办的一个新展览更加发人深省。从1933年到2013年,由建筑师Véronique Hour、Fabien Mauduit、Manuel Tardits和摄影师Jérémie Souteyrat、“日本,房子群岛”(Japan,Archipelago of the House)等70所日本住宅共同策划-全部由日本建筑师建造。
该节目将日本的住宅景观分为三章。“昨天的房子”包含了一个小而完美的住宅集合,建于1933年至1984年,特色是安藤忠雄和伊藤东洋等人的住宅。
