The restaurant was born from the reconversion of an old laboratory located among the historic buildings in the heart of Turin, near the river Po, between Piazza Vittorio Veneto and the church of the Gran Madre di Dio. The space, while using a young and informal style, houses a gourmet pizza tasting restaurant that uses high-level flours and primary products.
The concept is inspired by the theater as an open place for sharing. The large counter, placed in the center, acts as a stage. Here the pizza masters can perform and create their works, which will be distributed to diners in individual slices during the tasting itinerary.
The ingredients of the pizzas recall the Neapolitan culinary traditions, combine local Piedmontese products and more exotic and contemporary flavors. The concept of the restaurant takes shape from this mix between tradition and innovation, between local and global.
The spaces are marked by dark walls that create areas of penumbra in which elements of the Neapolitan tradition emerge such as the masks of Pulcinella or the famous images of the Smorfia. Alternating with the monochromatic walls, we find surfaces in vertical black slats with a oriental style which give lightness and create plays of light. The white brick or light concrete walls, clearly more material and monolithic, have an American industrial look.
However, this journey around the world, between local and global, between light and penumbra, takes place around the real heart of the restaurant: a large vertical green wall, made with real plant essences, which rises in the center of the open space, underline the genuineness of the products used in the dishes proposed and the green and sustainable approach carried out by the restaurant owners.
