Located near the city of Treviso, the proto-industrial settlement of the ex-furnace Guerra-Gregorj has been one of the most important sites for the brickwork production in the region of Veneto, since the first half of the 19th century. The project for the re-organization of the area moves from a deep study of its historical evolution, characterized by a strong multidisciplinary value coming from social, scientific and ethical issues. Then, the proposal here exposed collects a sequence of studies throughout the historical-critical interpretation and the process of architectural knowledge of the site, concluded with the conservation design. Considering the multifunctional character of the settlement - which depends on the role of each single building inside the complex-, the project pays particular attention to the brick factory edifice, proposing a new intended use to enhance its historical value within the system of production of the furnace.
