The purposed-designed building of the National Bank, in Vrilissia, was turned into a meat market. A different functional layout was developed on the three unequal levels of the building. On the ground floor, the waiting area, the sales area and the custom-built corner of packed meals were formed. Cabinets and refrigerators support the staff at selected locations and at the same time they promote the process of meat maturation by category.
On the oblong ground floor, the curve of the display window takes full advantage of the space, directing, in combination with the sloping roof, the view of the customers in the new part of the business, the warm corner.
Like a meat cutter blade, the roof, its thickness, its slope and its direction simulate the technique used. Red color, the color of the logo, frames the ceiling conveying the dynamics of the business to the customers and its staff.
The lines of the suspended lights, of the display window, of the vertical and horizontal surfaces create the required movement, accenting the flow of the imaginable axes of the subsections.
Textures of marble, cement, wood and corian meet the intense reflections created in the interior.
The glass elevator accents the verticality of the entrance, it is visible from the main facade of the ground floor and highlights the functions of the first floor, which are the preparation rooms, the administration offices, the public gathering area, its ancillary facilities, the kitchen, the lounge and the wc .
The openings of the facade allow the penetration of natural light to the depth of the floor, positively affecting users in their everyday lives.
White marble, wooden surfaces, horizontal and vertical engravings coexist, shaping the shell that delimits the tables of the restaurant.
