The biggest quality of this timeless minimalist villa is its unique combination of clarity and elegance of simple architectural concept, high quality of construction detailing and the superb energy performance. Its location in the quiet residential area in Bratislava Old Town at the edge of a forest city park is also unique, combining pleasant natural environment with the walking distance from the medieval city centre.

The design of the villa builds on the modern functionalistic tradition of residential villas of Bratislava and develops it in a contemporary and minimalistic way. Its layout is organized over two levels, taking full advantage of the sloping site. All private residential spaces are located on the upper level while guest accommodation, home office, wellness suite, garage and technical room occupy the lower level.

The main design objective was to provide good daylight and sun exposure to all principal rooms and to open up the house to the lush outdoor space as much as possible. Multiple exterior/interior links have been created as a result. On the upper level, the main living space opens up visually and physically to the garden via full height glazing and spacious terrace. At the main entrance, the overhanging block of the main storey creates modern version of sheltered porte cochère which doubles as a generous outdoor/indoor party space when garage doors open up. Guest room and home office have their own secluded patio to the back while wellness suite enjoys direct link to the terrace with fireplace and small pool. Prismatic rectilinear volume of the main storey finished in white crisp render contrasts with the basement walls and adjoining curve of the retaining wall along the access ramp finished in natural stone.
