The goal of this project was to design a new, more digital and user-friendly concept for the Finnish post office flagship branches. The motto “Smoother everyday life” worked as the founding principle for the project that seeks to completely transform the traditional way of service. The planning stage also featured a long and smooth dialogue with the Posti representatives of different sectors to ensure a successful end result.
While one of the project aims was to design a new visually pleasing aesthetic, the main challenges with the new design emphasised the layout. The final design presents a new visual look for the branches. The digital screens are used for both visual communication and advertising. They also function as self-service displays with clear guidance and instructions. Simultaneously the well-organised shop area promotes postcards and packaging products.
