Mountain Ridge 高中

MHTN Architects was given the task of designing Mountain Ridge High School as a thoughtful and cutting-edge space for education in Herriman, Utah.

Mountain Ridge High School is an innovative, state-of-the-art educational facility. A collaborative effort between the District, stakeholders, design, and construction teams helped achieve project success throughout the visioning, design, and construction processes. With education consistently evolving, the high school has been designed to adapt to potential change in teaching methodologies. Designed with a flexible steel structural system, the academic portion easily accommodates future remodels ensuring adaptability and longevity.

A large commons area, connected to the cafeteria, welcomes students and guests with natural light, a large wall graphic of the nearby mountain range, a media wall, and a variety of spaces to socialize, engage and learn. Tiered seating on the stair and a video monitor creates a learning space for large and small student groups, as well as group activities such as rallies or dances. Cantilevered into the student commons, the second-floor media center connects the two spaces through transparent windows. Flexible learning labs are designed to support learning and engagement while the Career and Technical Education (CTE) area includes maker spaces that support relevant educational activities.

The result is an exceptional, next generation high school designed for the community at the best price and value to Jordan School District.
