银行办公大楼所在地先前建有一座战后建造的两层建筑。该建筑处在拐角处，建设中，柱廊是建筑的中心元素。柱廊后面即是大楼入口。大楼外墙使用网状结构天然石材建造，可减轻建筑重量，墙壁之间安装有等间距排列的窗户，窗户外由灰色挡板围绕，该种设计为向外式建筑模式。大楼两个外立面由一个规格网格状的缺口相连。

大楼内安装了大型玻璃，使得充足的阳光射入室内，保障室内光线充足，同时延展了室内外空间，站在室内就有宽阔视角。大楼内走廊和画廊相连，这种设计不仅将室内空间扩大，更是人们偶遇与交流的场所。画廊的设计将走廊变成一个艺术殿堂。这座大楼有两方面建筑特色。一方面是大楼开放性且透明性空间创造，另一方面是建筑的牢固结构和嵌条设计。总之，这座大楼建筑设计反映了银行形象。

A building consisting of only two storey constructed in the post war period gave way to the new construction. Similarly, the colonnade as a central element of design of the Bahnhofsstrabe was adopted, hence the main entrance is located there.The uniform facades are reduced to a structured grid of natural stone, filled with evenly spaced rows of windows with grey surrounds which represents the constructive pattern outwards. All two facades are punctuated by an regular grid of openings

The large glazing serves the optimal use of daylight and guarantees generous in/-outside views.The adjoining corridors and galleries not only represent means of accessibility but rather places of encounter and communication. Alternating exhibitions transform the atrium to an art gallery。In total the building reflects the self-image of the bank which on the one hand is coined by openness and transparency and on the other hand by solidity and bindingness.
