The client’s detailed brief resulted in the creation of a flexible and non hierarchical space, which embraces informal staff break-out areas, informal meeting points and a completely open plan workspace for the 600 staff. HKR were appointed to develop the new interior fitout for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) at Walker House in Liverpool.The MoD require 6,500m2 of Category B finished space. The four floors of tenant fitout space also comprise a dedicated reception area, office support facilities, training suite and a considerable IT data centre to serve the organisation on a global scale.
