The design space of the whole project is an arms factory space in the late Qing Dynasty. The original building foundation is old, and there are many limited conditions for the design and transformation of the project. There is no traditional design, an open exhibition space, but a gallery space. With fresh, bright and modern as the keynote, it forms a light and lively architectural form, breaks the gravity and dullness brought by the concrete square box, and pursues the French style that can present the overall magnificent shape of the building and the neoclassical characteristics in the interior space with design techniques. The single story height of the building is 5.1 meters. Based on the frame structure of the old building and the unique column cap structure of that era, we designed a cross arched Gallery, which opened the "deadlock" on the plane of the project. As far as space is concerned, stones should be used as little as possible. The surface base is made of building stone paint, which is practical and low-cost.
