Step inside the Arizona home designed by Clements Design studio for NBA star Devin Booker, which overlooks the nearby Phoenix Mountain preserve. His personal style is on full display at his mansion in Arizona. When his brother sold him the property in 2019, it was a shock to walk in and see the pool, yard and all the adjoining rooms. He likes such a seemingly simple home, but can bring a big revelation.
Although Booker is widely regarded as one of the NBA's brightest young stars, he tells a story about his more humble origins. When he was a kid growing up in Michigan, he would close his eyes before going to bed and imagine what the house he would one day own would look like. The size or shape of the house varies from night to night, but the interior design is always the same: a mix of modern and nostalgic.
Kathleen Clements helped create the home with her son and design partner Tommy Clements. They mentioned that everything Devin Booker wears is cool, stylish and very natural, which not everyone can do. Clements and her team worked with Karan Brady Interiors in Los Angeles to outsource the new home with custom furniture to accommodate people up to seven feet tall, inside existing building shells.
Devin loves to have fun and spend time with family and friends. It just so happens that his friends are NBA players. That meant creating 12-foot-long sofas and custom poker tables for his towering teammates, as well as finding vintage furniture in the right size to complement Booker's art collection. Devin is very sophisticated when it comes to design, and he has an incredible way of combining old objects that look like antiques with very modern objects.
