当我22岁的时候，已经在东南大学建筑学院学了4年的建筑。对图纸的辛苦刻画依然让我对设计这件事情充满了迷茫，甚至是陌生感。于是我用一年的时间去了9个国家近20个城市，用身体和脚步感受建筑和城市。这次出走，是我从学院出发的第一次反叛，也是我从纸上建筑的第一次出走。我走进了真实的场所，感受了人群的氛围和人在不同空间中的感知。在我的取景器里，我尝试理解了尺度，秩序，空间和氛围。就像建筑一样，我无法用一个词定义或者总结我的思考。我想用 “在场感”这个词，总结我对建筑摄影的追求。那是心情，身体和场地的交融表达。

When I was 22, I had studied architecture in Southeast University for 4 years. However the concentrated dedication to the drawings and illustrations still made me confused and even unfamiliar with design. So I spent one year visited nearly 20 cities of 9 countries, feeling architectures and cities with my body and footsteps.It was my first “run-away” from school and for the first time I overstepped “buildings on paper”. I walked into the sites, feeling the atmosphere of the crowds and the positions of people in real space. In my camera viewfinder, I tried to understand scale, order, space and atmosphere. Just like architecture, I can’t define or summarize my thoughts in one word. Yet I want to use the phrase “Sense of presence” to summarize my keen pursuit in architecture photography. That is the gentle blend and lyric expression of mood, body and place as a whole.
