Instead of simply building conventional wooden or glass and metal shelters, the Austrian kultur krumbach association invited seven architects from seven countries. These should be designed together with a regional architectural office "Buswartehüsle" for the village. The result is crazy to bizarre-looking shelters, none of which looks even like the other. Where shelter is actually the wrong expression. Rather, there are seven statements for design, innovation and cosmopolitanism, which have found their point of condensation in the village of Krumbach in the form of bus stops. The aim was to combine the local mobility with world architecture and thus make a statement against the charge of "unprofitable" bus traffic. But you also wanted to try something new and innovative instead of just repeating traditional forms. The result is the project BUS:STOP Krumbach with its seven "Wartehüsle", which could only become reality through the joint cooperation of the architectural teams, local craftsmen and a whole range of honorary committed Bregenzern.
