Blå ögontröst (Forget-me-not), rural dialect for Dalslands landscape flower, more known as Forget Me Not, has lent its name to this beautiful contemporary idea of a vibrant country built for both human, fl ora and fauna. Not to forget the rural areas, not to forget our nature, and to not forget the sometimes peaceful, sometimes dramatic landscapes that lakes and oceans offers us, and how people in all times have lived near the water and been completely dependent of its content and force. The houses is drawn to be built close to the water line and stand raised on stilts like a traditional log cabin to avoid large ground engagement, to protect the high water levels, and for animals and plants as much as possible to get an uninterrupted water line. Placing the house on a wooden pier on piles also allows for a general basis for a coherent house typology, while the house and the bridge is free to place in a great variety of land plots with completely different conditions. The house is constructed with traditional carpentry techniques mixed with the more contemporary material laminated wood.
