Located by the Ulriksdals castle in Solna, north of Stockholm, Restaurant Emmer underwent a recent makeover. It was quite a task, considering the building is from 1868 and it is protected by the National Heritage Board of Sweden. Strict rules exist, such as a pre-defined color palette, and not a single nail can be hammered on the property’s walls.
Lotta Agaton Interiors was enlisted for the project and successfully rose to the challenge. She embraced nature-inspired hues and materials, which is perfectly suited for a restaurant whose core concept is sustainability. The new interior is elegant yet relaxed and unpretentious.
The restaurant owner loves the shades greyish green combined with a warm white, sisal, linen, white marble and natural oak. Most of the furniture was created by Lotta Agaton Interiors in collaboration with local joiners K.F.K. Snickeri.
