Us luxury department store Neiman Marcus has opened its first store in New York for an established retailer, marking a major milestone in the company's development as the state has reported high online sales and strong brand recognition over the past few years. Inspired by a cubist gallery, every salon in this Neiman Marcus store is transformed into an architecturally significant moment, imparting a sense of ceremony into the retail experience.

Burdifilek design was tasked with creating a holistic Neiman Marcus experience for the new space, featuring men's and women's fashion, shoes, jewelry and cosmetics, as well as the brand's signature cafe and other VIP services. The design team's goal was to create a coherent space in terms of planning and decor that would provide the store with a proprietary Neiman Marcus identity, while allowing the store and the brand to coexist in complementary ways.

The new Neiman Marcus Roosevelt Plaza is a paradise for luxury shoppers. The luxurious palette of warm hues creates a serene backdrop for high fashion collections, and a large cafe is a popular social venue for patrons. Iconic features and design elements anchor each corner, and the choice of finishes is key, thus providing sensory visual continuity.
