The expansion of the Canon offices in Santiago brings together all the office complex’s public programs: the reception, meeting rooms for clients, a training room, a showroom and a laboratory for technical service.

Given the program’s public nature, we came up with a ground plan that could be walked through continuously, connecting the different programs and incorporating stationary spaces throughout the course.

To organize the ground plan, which had an irregular shape, we placed a glass cube at the center that contains the meeting rooms. Towards the interior, next to the nucleus of stairs and elevators of the building, the area for the laboratory was arranged, which required 18 meters of free space in order to allow for calibrate professional lenses. Along with the access, an open area was created containing the reception and the showroom, which could serve as a multipurpose open space when connected.
