The architecture studio TN ARQUITETURA was called by the couples of residents to renovate the apartment that they no longer liked, with dark tones and a rather confusing layout, due to the original floor plan. The idea was to transform it into a large space, with plenty of natural lighting and personality, keeping the Persian rug from generations of the family. The project was thought from the beginning as a blank canvas, where the furniture would bring spot colors that give the customers personality for the project.

In the living room - now connected to the balcony - there is the integration of the TV room with the dining room and the “wine corner”. The furniture with thinner and “lighter” structures allows greater permeability between the spaces, where they overlap and talk to each other, guaranteeing a highlight for the Persian rug with its warm and vibrant colors - a key for the color palette used. The space is bathed in natural light with several openings, and by “no frame” spots and LED profiles, which make the ceiling cleaner and more contemporary. A mirror on the only beveled wall remaining in the room causes an optical illusion, generating amplitude and orthogonality.

The kitchen gains continuity with the living through the panel in bright white lacquer that turns into a cabinet in the same finish, where the home appliances are. Countertops and other cabinets are finished in shades of gray, becoming monoblocks - contemporary and minimalist.

Access to the intimate part of the apartment is through a sliding door that “mimics” the living room panel when closed. The master suite exchanges the white walls for wallpaper and has its entrance marked with the application of it on the ceiling - this is the starting point for the composition of the room design: an unusual and full of personality arrangement. The touch of color is dueto the bedding - pillows made exclusively for customers mix floral print and knitting with the headboard in Vichy plaid fabric.
