Jury member, Brahman Perera, is eager to offer his perspective on the profound impact colour can have on our experience of the built environment. “The choice of colour in architecture has an overwhelming effect on how a building is perceived,” says Brahman. “As a first-time judge, I can’t wait to see and review the colourful and inventive submissions of some of Australia and New Zealand’s best architects and designers and explore our perceptions of the effect colour can have within a space.”
The judges will examine the entries across six categories: Commercial Interior — Workplace & Retail; Commercial Interior — Public & Hospitality; Commercial & Multi-Residential Exterior; Residential Interior; Single Residential Exterior; and Student AU & NZ (Years 1-6).
The judging panel will also select from the Australian category winners and New Zealand category finalists to arrive at a winner for the coveted Australian Grand Prix and New Zealand Grand Prix awards. Along with wide acclaim and industry recognition, all individual and business category winners will have their projects showcased on an international scale, amplified via promotional activity on Dulux-owned digital platforms and other parties where appropriate. In addition to the above, Student (Years 1-6) award winners will receive a separate monetary prize.
