介隐建筑事务所（Zen-In Architects）受设计北京（DESIGN BEIJING）、PechaKuchaBeijing之邀与来自全球的6个国家的6组建筑师团队参与2019设计北京博览会 “设计予己Design for Ourselves”展览。

Invited by DESIGN BEIJING and PechaKuchaBeijing, Zen-in Architects participated in the special section named “Design for Ourselves” of Design Beijing 2019 with six other architects’ teams from six countries.

中国传统文化在当下被重新解读和定义之后，以一种新的面貌出现在我们生活中。基于这些现象和线索·，我们开始思考怎样将传统文化的精神内涵和表现形式融入现代生活、赋予时代属性，这是我们创作的起因。我们观察到传统工艺与材料的特点，例如蜡染，将颜色图案绘制于布料，陶器之上；丝绣，将图案赋予布料之上，形成现代服装的特点；青花，将颜色与图案绘制于陶土坯之上再经高温形成现代工艺品。因此我们选取了传统水墨技法和传统青瓦材料，融合形成这次展览的主题——墨瓦。使其既有水墨的自由、流动，又有瓦片静谧、坚固。

With a new form of traditional Chinese culture, being re-interpreted and re-defined, the integration of traditional intension and contemporary extension has been considered as design objectives. Meanwhile, the conventional technology and materials have been also referenced: batik – color drawings on fabrics and potteries; silk embroidering – patterns on fabrics; blue and white porcelain technique – patterns on pottery clay sintered in high-temperature. Therefore, “Mova” (ink tiles), traditional ink-painting techniques combining with traditional roof tiles, has been determined as the theme of this exhibition, displaying free and fluid as well as silent and solid.
