设计亮点
利用简单的材料打造温馨的社区餐厅环境,成功突显了其精美的中东美食。
Arabica was designed by Gundry + Ducker with a simple palette of materials to highlight their exquisite Middle Eastern cuisine in King’s Cross of London.
Arabica is a restaurant in the Aga Khan building in King’s Cross London. Envisaged as a canteen for the local area, the design was influenced by the design of post war university campus buildings.
The scheme uses a simple palette of materials, brown quarry tile floors, Iroko joinery, exposed aggregate concrete and green wool curtains.
The key challenge was to create a warm and welcoming space within a building of a hard corporate appearance. And create a neighbourhood restaurant for a new district in London that would operate all day.
Key products used – Brown quarry tile, green wool fabric, exposed aggregate concrete, Iroko timber.
The client was a well regarded middle eastern food restaurant with a existing branch in Borough Market London.
The solution was by developing a understanding of the area and proposing a solution that relates to its campus style atmosphere.
