Eka意思是奇异而唯一，这间由FRDC设计团队打造的Eka概念店，也是如此的独一无二。该品牌致力于开发手工艺品、艺术品、工匠和一些融合了现代气息的印度生活方式，简言之，Eka就是印度人和印度生活的代名词。这家店在设计上，将印度艺术和工艺、印度的极简主义、全印度的彩陶工艺，还有印度特色的院落格局，都概念化后浓缩在一起。所有的这些元素体现在概念店的每一个地方，店面的布局、地板、彩色的天花板、巨大的烤肉架，这一切组成了店内的空间。

通过使用悬浮的烤架，和在有形的格子上用泥土做成的帆布，设计师们将这个巨大的空间划分为不同的部分。所有的固定装置都是纯手工制成的，只用了很少量的金属。FRDC的设计总监Sanjay Agarwal在谈到这个项目时说“我们非常感谢客户给予我们充分的信任，他们让我们可以自由的传达这种概念”。这家由班加罗尔FRDC- Future Research 设计公司打造的概念店，是具有印度安特质的。受灵感启发设计出的工艺品、展出的那些未经加工的木头，还有各种木制品，这一切都是传达这种概念的关键因素。

Designed by FRDC, Bangalore, ‘Eka’- means singular and unique, which is only one and uno!! A store dedicated to crafts, art, artisan and Indian lifestyle with a modern and eclectic approach, Eka is a brand synonym with ‘Indian’ and Indian living. From Divinity to Fashion and from artefacts to Lifestyle.The store design has been conceptualized on Indian art and craft, Indian minimalism, Indian soil- colour of soils found from North to South and East to West and Indian layout- courtyard. Each of these elements are depicted in the space through- Layout, Flooring, Ceiling colours and Magnificient grills forming spaces within space.

A large volumetric space is scaled down in different spaces through use of Floating grills and a canvas of ‘soil’ colours on concrete waffles. The fixtures are derived from ‘Indian hand’ craft technique and thus minimising use of metal/hardware.Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Agarwal, Director FRDC says- ” we thank our client who posed their faith in our design team to deliver the concept”. Designed by FRDC- Future Research Design Company, Bangalore, the store is an ode to celebration and Indianness. Crafts inspired design elements, natural woods on display with products and an overall engaging environment is key to store experience.
