该项目广场位于美国Chapel Hill市的中心地带，被命名为“140西方广场”，这是一个城市广场。该广场的建设其实是该区域规划的第一个项目，以该广场的建设为切入点，使得今后这片大学城的景观更加有人情味儿，始终带给人们一种亲切的感觉。该广场的外观设计十分独特，它将多种不同的设计元素混合在一起，为这片都市区域注入了一丝新鲜感，同时，它在北部的Rosemary大街与市中心的用餐区建立了一种商业性联系。因该广场处于市中心，人流量很大，这里也就自然而然地成为了一个人口集中地，人们闲暇之余，在这里谈论风生，不亦乐乎。如同雕塑般的雾状喷泉引起人们的兴趣，它是将水转变成水雾，呈现给人们雾状的朦胧感，这样的设计是有它背后的含义的，它旨在向人们呈现水的蒸发与水蒸气的扩散，形象地解释了自然界中的水循环。

Located in the heart of downtown Chapel Hill, the 140 West Urban Plaza is the first development project in a larger town masterplan initiative to invigorate this college town with greater pedestrian oriented landscapes.Framed by a mixed used development that creates a commercial link between north Rosemary Street and the downtown restaurant district, this central gathering space offers a much needed public forum for play. A sculptural fog fountain transforms water into a fog-like state.  The design represents the dispersion and evaporation of water, expressing the hydrologic cycles of the environment.
