位于曼哈顿的Zerafa建筑工作室为美国橘子郡设计了一个犯罪受害者纪念碑，纪念碑设置于公园内两个自然土丘中间，公园林地景观内的圆形空隙空间提供了一系列的社区体验。一旦进入圆形空隙空间中，青铜板挡墙上环绕四周，上面雕饰着被照亮了的受害者姓名。一个连续的混凝土座椅成为内部沉思的最好场所。

游人通过发亮的环状嵌草铺地穿行于整个纪念园，它修饰了公园东部边缘，并承接了重要的空间和开阔的草坪。这条通路缓缓地引导人们以自己的方式观察纪念园，无论是在高处俯瞰，或是在内部与公园紧密接触，都达到了一定的体验效果。

Manhattan-based Zerafa Architecture Studio has been announced as winner of a competition to design a monument to Orange County’s crime victims. Placed between two natural mounds on axis with Irvine’s Mason Regional Park office, the winning scheme carves a subtle, circular void within the park’s forested landscape that offers a range of experiences to the community.

Visitors approach the Orange County Victims’ Memorial via a lighted circular path of grass pavers, which defines the eastern edge of an event space and open lawn. Though the pathway gently leads them to the memorial’s entrance, visitors are encouraged to experience the memorial in their own way, whether intimately from within or overlooking from the above.

Once inside the tapered void, a wall of bronze plates encircles visitors with inscribed victim names illuminated from within. A continous concrete bench offsets the interior core and provides seating for those wishing for a more contemplative experience within arms reach of the wall.
