Krikaskoli weaves to the landscape, grows out of the ground and forms a sheltered playground for the children.

The school was designed in collaboration with Einrum, Andri Snaer Magnason, Sudaustanatta, VSB, Helgi Grimsson and Sigrun Sigurdardottir.

The proposal was selected from 5 nominations in a closed competition. The school building was completed in January 2010. The Minister of Education, said the school and its policy should be a model for all other schools in Iceland. Location: Mosfellsbaer, Iceland
