生活的重要性在于使我们与世界建立了一种内在的必然联系，无论寻常的举动或是温柔的善意，每个时刻都应该被认真对待、关注和重视。而对设计来说，所有的问题都指向了形体与内容的如何更好地相互融合，因为内容定义了问题，形式则解决了问题。

The importance of life is that it establishes an inherent connection with the world, and every moment, whether ordinary acts or gentle kindnesses, should be taken seriously, noticed and valued. For design, all questions point to how form and content can be better integrated, because content defines the problem and form solves it.

在对设计的不同诠释之中，赫伯特·A·西蒙的解读可以看作是一种真实经验的概括与设计实践理论的真知灼见，他说，“所谓设计，就是找到一个能够改善现状的途径。”在L宅里“解决问题”比修饰或者风格本身更具有现实意义。

L宅有着明显的动静分区，尺度、比例、面积借由精确的设计规划出明显的主次关系。开放空间与改造后的内阳台融为一体，开阔了既定的使用面积，也延伸了空间的视线。通过局部抬高的方式，打造出休闲式的一角，可以小憩、阅读或者逗猫。

餐厅是“解决问题”的重要体现，通过合适的尺寸把控，配置以吧台和内嵌的西式柜体收纳，使功能与美观巧妙结合，丰富了原本单一的功能属性。日常高频使用冰箱的外置，扩展了厨房的操作台面，令空间更加明亮。从而穿过通透的玻璃砖，给幽暗的玄关以采光。

与一般的共用通道然后通往每个房间不同，L宅的双通道设计，解决了长辈与业主之间避免干扰的问题，对长辈房来说，独立的通道结合公卫也成为某种意义上的套间；而业主和小孩房的独立通道则保证了亲子互动的便捷性以及心理意识上相对私密的空间界定。

Different from the common channel which leads to each room, the double channel design of L house solves the problem of avoiding interference between the elder and the owner. For the elder room, the independent channel combined with public health also becomes a suite in a sense. The independent channel between the owner and the children's room ensures the convenience of parent-child interaction and the relatively private space definition in psychological consciousness.

自然是我们内心世界的一种外延和折射，反映出相互依存、协调和统一的关系，视觉亲近、自然的象征与寓意构成了住宅自然性的核心要义。L宅公共区域的第一级天花由自然的木作饰面所包裹，强调连续的框架结构，也引入了自然的温润肌理，使住宅具有温暖的自然氛围。

Nature is an extension and reflection of our inner world, reflecting the relationship of interdependence, coordination and unity. Visual proximity, natural symbols and connotations constitute the core meaning of residential naturalness. The first level ceiling of the common area of the house is wrapped in a natural wood finish, emphasizing the continuous frame structure and also introducing the natural warmth of the texture, giving the house a warm natural atmosphere.

我们对生活的认知和理解，由一个个具体的物件构成，圆形的特殊装置壁灯、精选的有着时间肌理的木作雕塑、不同空间之中点缀的灯光、西式的内嵌壁炉、阳台的猫舍、充满个人情感的花艺和饰品等等，不同的功能组合，以极尽温和的方式，建立了一种符合当下的温柔生活指南。
