Czech design studio S.H.S. architekti has completed a major upgrade of KPMG offices in Prague. An existing multistory interior has been completely adapted to actual needs of the renowned financial and advisory company. The company& s high standard of services has been reflected in sophisticated and elegant interior appearance and in the selection of neat surfaces and quality materials. Strong emphasis was placed on acoustic comfort and quality lighting to ensure the right working environment.

All floor layouts have been fundamentally modified to promote cooperation without obstacles, flexibility and social interaction. Large social spaces - social hubs - have been established on each office floor to become functional cores of the plan. These spaces are co-working areas that could be used for meeting, sharing, relaxing or entertainment. A new open staircase has been broken through the building to support cross-company collaboration. So, its deep blue glass railing has visibly connected all offices floors levels. Workplaces are deployed mostly in open-space offices. But enclosed spaces for individual focused work are complemented as well as the collaboration and meeting rooms. Space of hall offices is divided into smaller working groups - teams of about 12 - 30 people. Form of the building inner core have been shaped by rounded curves to provide smooth unobstructed movement.

The premises for customers and visitors are located on the ground floor next to the entrance hall and also on the top floor enjoying nice views of Prague.
