Knevel Architects designs a new office and warehouse space for Nedelko and CTS Netherlands on a prominent location in Barendrecht. The gross floor area of the project is about 6.000 sqm. The start of construction is planned for July 2014 and the building will be operational in the first quarter of 2015.

Design

The lifted entrance to the office is situated at 2.5 meters above ground level. An inclined parking area guides the visitor to an esplanade with a large connection to the surrounding. The esplanade is connected spatially with the lobby followed by the showroom. The showroom is located parallel to the highway and consists of a sequence of plateaus that allow a visual connection with the meeting rooms situated on the first floor.

All functional facilities such as elevation points, restrooms, pantries and closets are merged into a programmatic core. This zone forms both in the floor plan as well as in the cross-section the spine of the building. The office floors and showroom are designed around the core with a large flexibility and could be organized following the client whishes. Above the showroom are situated three office floors, ending on the top floor with the boardroom.
