The former depot of the Dorotheum rises right in the centre of Vienna's colorful 15th district. The landmarked building from the 1920s was recently refurbished and houses the Restaurant Herzig on its ground floor. The premises ooze the minimalist, industrial vibes of a New Yorker Gallery and are cool and original above all. The space is characterized by a variety of influences. Here, the original 100-year-old oiled oak floors meet the room-high industrial windows and rich petrol blue walls, which are vivified by the art of Clemens Wolf in the CYMK colors and a large piece by Peter Jellitsch. Tiles were laid on the bar and disguise the logo of the restaurant in their pattern. Olive green velveteen chairs by Marco Dessi for Wittmann encircle the round tables and give the space a touch of color. Medium high screens were especially designed for the room and represent one of the particular characteristics of the space.
