The Mongkok district in Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated areas in the world with busy streets and traffic round the clock. Aedas designed T.O.P This is Our Place to transform a 1980s ex-government complex into a modern office tower and retail-entertainment mall.

With an underground floor that connects to the Mongkok MTR Station, the building also features a podium façade that reflects the signature palette of the station – the pixelated, colourful spectral aluminum panels, protruding at varying angles, shimmer under sunlight and glow like neon signs at night. The modern illuminated signboards that project out, on the other hand, continue the nearby streetscape.

Targeting the young and young-at-heart, the new, larger atrium provides gathering and performance spaces with a unique DJ stage on the first floor. Performances and street activities are manifested into the atrium and throughout the mall, extending to the podium rooftop deck where the Space-Out Garden is. Connecting to the open performance area on the fifth floor, a curved featured staircase runs from the main retail area to a more up-lifting and adventurous food and beverage level.

Developed and operated by Link Asset Management Limited, the property is set to become a new addition to the vibrant urban entertainment scene in Mongkok.
