A design to reflect the corporate culture and values of the German-based bank institution, the New York City office of DZ Bank provides a warm and welcoming feel for both guests and employees.
TPG Architecture maximized the view when designing the offices for DZ Bank in New York City, New York.
Founded in 2001, DZ Bank is the second-largest bank in Germany and offers an extensive range of financial products and services. After restructuring its internal operations, the client decided to reimagine its New York City HQ. Ultimately, DZ Bank chose to relocate from 100 Park Avenue to One Vanderbilt to create an office space that reflects its corporate culture and values.
While collaborating with TPG Architecture on this project, the team determined that the new workplace design needed to be clean, bright, and well-detailed. The office is on the 49th floor and offers striking views of the Chrysler Building and Midtown. The design considers the guest arrival sequence, with the reception point offering several hospitality elements, including an open pantry.
The workplace carries a traditional model with glass-fronted perimeter offices and modest workstations on the interior. The large windows and 10-foot ceilings bring depth, dimension, and daylight across the floor. Additionally, staff have access to a café and three major meeting rooms for client engagements and internal gatherings.
