The MIRAMARE is a trophy asset that belonged to the Onassis family in the late 60s. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Greece and hosted royalties and jetsetters from all over the world. The Resort is located on a 50K m2 beachfront olive grove, just 17 km from Kerkyra, Corfu
The property consists of four sections:
-The main Hotel building, comprising of a Reception, Lobby, All Day Dining Restaurant and Bar.
-The main Hotel / Guestrooms –two “gamma-shaped” buildings hosting 70 guest room units and 20 suites as well as Viphotel Guestrooms and VVipVillas –smaller Villa type buildings, consisting of 23 units.
The total number of keys is 113 keys.
A CLIENT BRIEF OF SERVICES :-
A critical part of the ID service will be the ‘styling works’ (artwork, accessories, cushions, lighting settings etc.) which will have a huge impact on the overall guest experience and sense of luxury
This styling role must be within the interior designer’s scope off responsibility.
Appointment of a Marriott approved Lighting Consultant.
Development of a design narrative that captures the story of the hotel, its history, location and the local culture, providing a sophisticated thread or story-line from which the hotel design, service and marketing narrative can all be developed.
Capitalize on the Onassis/celebrity visitor history, coupled with that of The Luxury Collection.
Attract a more international and higher spending customer base: The Luxury Collection ‘Explorers and Collectors’.
Full reconsideration/re-design of the Hotel incl. Guestrooms, F&B’s and Public Areas
Full reconsideration of key design features within the public areas to better depict a true narrative/persona for the hotel and give a much-needed uplift to the interior experience. Currently the lobby space is literally a ‘white box’ and lacks sophistication, depth and layering
Full re-conception and re-positioning of the restaurant and bar venues to make them true destinations within the island.
Capitalize upon key event spaces, including the pool/bar areas, gardens and terraces.
Capitalize upon the potential for VIP and VVIP areas, as these were not fully developed to a luxury standard.
