The factory is an office interior design project situated in an old textile factory from 60’s in Istanbul. It is located on 1800 sqm plan with 2 floors. This adaptive re-use project mainly focuses on the industrial heritage conversion into an esthetic interior project with a strong identity. Since the main concepts of client’s corporate identity are “production, dynamism and progress”, thus design is developed as the hub of production: The Factory. Situating in an industrial heritage, it was important to maintain the cultural identity and physical characteristics combining with contemporary design features. Structural and infrastructural details of the industrial building are re-interpreted and turned into design references for furniture and material design. While doing this, office spaces, meeting and seminar rooms are balanced with spare time spaces like; fitness center, music studio, billiard and ping pong saloon, dining hall, playstation and atari room, ..etc.
