COSMOTE TV Headquarters & Studios, is a 6,200sqm regeneration project of an abandoned factory. It is converted into a fresh innovative office building and state-of-the-art TV Studios, inspired by contemporary media and the constant flow of information.

The building designed to create an exciting fresh workspace for people to collaborate, while promoting communication among different teams.

At the core of the building is ‘The Plaza’, a space of 1,000sqm. It is the heart of the building, where all teams and journalists interact, get inspired and produce the fascinating TV content. ‘The Plaza’ is designed to create a second nature, a designed ecosystem. We created a bridge, which crosses the space, connecting all departments, while the concept of nature is transferred throughout the design of the space.

The undulating ceiling is generated from the columns, unfolding as trees with their branches and producing an exciting ceiling, while the highest acoustic specifications and qualities are integrated into its design, converting the space into a stimulating work environment.

The Façade of the building is designed to create an overall silhouette of luminous ribbons, which run along the building. Looking back at the legacy of the building, which used to be, a printing factory, we move programmatically from analogue to digital, from ink to light.

Thus we ’build’ the light through the use of fabric. The skin, is made from high-tech translucent tensile membrane, which wraps the building and creates its iconic silhouette. It is a luminous façade, which can be transformed into a communication beacon.

The cantilevering façade glows during the night, while during the day it performs as shading device, protecting the interiors from the intense and hot local climate. The project achieved the LEED Core & Shell Gold certification, by implementing energy efficient and sustainable strategies embedded into its design approach.
