At the head of the Plantsoen in Leiden, a complex of six apartments will be realized in a municipal monument. The building is a composite building with a round extension and forms a striking entrance to the city center. The old and new situation can be seen well below.
The building is being restored by the restoration contractor Burgy. The existing facade of the round extension is finished with bronze-colored anodized MD Formatura with a leaf motif. This pattern is inspired by the leaf motifs and decorations from the 19th century, which can still be found at various places along the Plantsoen. The end result becomes a special landmark in the city center.
The MD Formatura panels are made of aluminum and have a thickness of 3 millimeters. The panels are screwed onto the auxiliary structure and this assembly is mounted on the existing structure. In addition, we supply the glass balustrade with supporting structure and typesetting.
