本项目位于嘉定北交通枢纽及国家科技创新中心之间。这里布局的国家硅产业总部园区和智能传感器创新中心，将是长三角地区代表国家未来并辐射全球的产业战略高地；即将开始设计的国家硅产业集团总部以及随即启动的国家集成电路材料技术创新中心，将是这个战略高地的顶峰。

马达思班建筑设计的出发点依然是：引领城市的形成逻辑和建筑的适用逻辑；最大化集合建筑体量，构成明显的地域尺度；最大化雕琢空间功能，塑造细腻的人性质感。硅产业集团的理念是 “从硅开始，不忘初心”，而作为地域引领者的产业总部建筑，翻译成建筑理念则是“从城开始，硅入人芯”，充分体现出中国具有全球科技实力的企业总部对地域精神和人文精神的投入。

大楼由超过 54,000 平方米的办公、孵化、研发、会议、展览和休闲及社交等功能板块组成。功能布局除了达到灵活和高效的目的之外，还探索了能够加大企业驱动力及企业归属感的空间构成，主要通过社交及配套功能的布置和户外延展空间的分布达成，目标是吸引更多的产业优秀的年轻人才，培育创新精神和集体意识；同时实现节能及安全办公级处理的可能性。

科学证据表明，亲近自然能够强烈地影响着员工的积极性和创新性。该建筑的精髓是多层次的庭院及总内敛的整体姿态，多层的种植露台可以直接从办公室进入，它为员工提供了多个竖向的户外环境、地面大庭院及沿河公园景观；沿着南港运河，动态景观是建筑种植露台的延伸，为办公人员和整个社区提供一个友好的户外环境和活动社交场所；该项目对植物的精心选择，将吸引蜜蜂和蝴蝶等生物，从而提高区域内的全季生物多样性。

Located in the northwest of Shanghai, Jiading District, the Silicon Industry Headquarters Park is situated among some of the nation's foremost high-tech firms. Mada's design for the building is inspired by the chemical structure of silicon, a symbol of China's technological future and a spirit of the times.

The building's floor plate arrangement and facade echo the shape of silicon when viewed through a microscope, representing the Silicon Industry Group's concept of "Starting with Silicon and Remain True to the Original Aspiration." At the same time, the silicon shape is a homage to the microelectronics industry and a symbol of China's global technological prowess.

Scientific evidence shows that access to nature strongly influences employee motivation and innovation. As such, planted multi-level terraces are directly accessible from the offices providing employees with a friendly outdoor environment and a place for events and socializing while taking in views of the river. Situated along the Nangang canal, the dynamic landscape is an extension of the building's planted terraces, providing respite for office workers and the community. Designed to enhance the area's biodiversity in all seasons, plantings are carefully chosen to attract bees and butterflies.
