Located between two existing buildings on the street, the plot is today, despite its large size, very sparsely populated and almost entirely occupied by a former garage and silo indiscriminate parking. His release offers the opportunity to recover an overall coherence, rebuilding relationships between people and their neighborhood, consider a softer urban form in an improved living environment.

The new units are organized into three bands built . They fully reconstruct the landscape of the land and respect its morphology while length. They define a private pedestrian alley that connects the Jean Jaurès Avenue to rue Petit, and a vegetable path that leads, at each of its ends to the ground in gardens that put away the homes of the island and heart buildings on streets.

These landscaped routes include all access to housing and allow meetings and exchanges for greater ownership of public spaces by the residents. The épannelage heights of the R + 2 to R + 4 and the north south orientation of the passage and the alley used to bring sunshine and clear views of the heart of the block. Townhouses, stacked townhouses and small buildings are interwoven to vary the types and minimize public areas for the benefit of shared outdoor spaces.

The use of wood, besides actually limit site nuisance, can give a new identity instead. By creating an urban sequence in the tradition of Parisian passages, the project proposes to give a strong identity to a property without a soul: an urban landscape where architecture and nature are accompanied and contrasted with the mood of the busy streets.
