In Shanghai, there are traffic drenched in neon lights, and there are leaks in crowded halls to watch the women's volleyball team. There are golden walkways covered with sycamore leaves, and there are chalk lines of hopscotch half erased by the wind. The combination of the two is the living city.

位于闵行区北桥镇的上海城开云外，就复兴了一个带着旧时烟火气的新故事。

邻里

NEIGHBOURHOOD 

未曾在里弄住过的人很难切身体会到它的妙处：

从喧闹的马路进入主弄，便瞬间有了一种回家的感觉：

在一株香椿处右拐进支弄，自行车打着铃声掠过，跳橡皮筋的孩子就自动让出一条道；

晚饭的香气和聊家常的声音指引着下一条更细的巷道。

It ’s hard for people who haven’t been in the house to realize the beauty of it: entering the main lane from the noisy road, there is an instant feeling of returning home: turning right into a branch at a toon, and the bicycle passed, and the child who jumped the rubber band gave way; the aroma of dinner and homely voices guided the next finer lane.

不同于现代都市常见的，在竖直方向界定空间性质与私密性的做法，里弄的空间体系水平生长：

从主弄，到支弄，再到更细的巷道，宅间小路——每一层巷弄都比上一级具有更小的尺度与更高的私密性，形成平缓而连贯的过渡。

Different from the common practice in modern cities to define the nature of space and privacy in the vertical direction, the space system in Li Nong grows horizontally.

属于“家”的私密性被有序地释放至邻里共享的社区空间，甚至部分功能空间也粘结在一起（例如厨房与厕所）这就成为旧时邻里关系的土壤：

彼此生活亲密而有分寸地黏连，邻里们共享饭菜、话题与生活场景，从而形成一个个古老而可靠的小团体，团体的规模随巷道收窄而缩小，私密性与亲密程度却递增。

The privacy of the "home" was released to the community space shared by the neighbors in an orderly manner, and even some functional spaces were glued together (such as kitchens and toilets). This became the soil of the old neighbourhood.

城开云外旨在复兴这样的邻里关系，修复被参天高楼与“现代社区”斩断的睦邻模式。

Courtyard Villa 

aims to revitalize such neighborhood relations and restore the good-neighborness model cut off by skycrapers and "modern communities".

有别于常见的“进小区——进楼道——进家门”的生硬转折，从进入社区到进入私宅，空间递进带来不断增加的归属感与私密性，分明的组团层级为归家者带来不断回归更亲密的小集体的心理感受。

Different from “entering the community—entering the corridor—entering the door”, from entering the community to entering the private house, the spatial advancement brings an increasing sense of belonging and privacy. Bring the psychological feeling of returning to a more intimate small group.

总图肌理被相应梳理为“园”“游”“憩”“居”四部分，从尺度就能阅读到它们的空间属性：

“园”空间将路径与活动空间叠加，更宽敞的空间适合容纳各类活动，各条路径向中心汇聚，形成最具公共性的集会场所；

“游”空间的路径尺度更偏交通性，尽端的小广场不仅将活动与交流从路径中剥离，更带有一定的私密性；

内向性的“憩”空间成为室内外的一道缓冲，并作为纯粹的停留空间存在。

从街坊到宅院，每一层级的设计语言亦遵循这样的关系：

社区入口以沉稳庄重的体量彰显空间等级。

From the neighbourhood to the house, the design language of each level also follows the relationship: the entrance of the community highlights the level of space with a calm and solemn volume.

组团入口则使用更为亲人的尺度与材质，格栅的点缀使之具有动态的半透明性。

The entrance of the group uses more family-friendly scales and materials, and the embellishment of the grid makes it dynamic and translucent.

入户门以更小的尺度昭示面更强的私密性，坡顶很好地消解了狭窄巷道带来的压迫感，门头细部沿用的里弄元素，带来“身临其境”的场景感。

The entrance door shows a stronger privacy on a smaller scale. The slope top can well eliminate the sense of oppression brought by the narrow aisle. The elements inside the door detail are used to bring a sense of "immersive" scene.

THE HOUSE

这座城市的“精打细算”体现在每一处：

阳台上盛放的一盆花，节衣缩食攒出的一套假领子……“螺蛳壳里做道场”的精神让上海人在一切有限的条件里都能卯足了劲描绘出最精彩的生活景象——热闹与安静共存，烟火中现出精致。

这就是上海的城市性格。

鲁迅在狭小的亭子间里笔耕不辍，终成且介亭杂文……72家房客支起热闹的大舞台上演人间百态，正是因为其背后藏着上海将每一寸空间都发挥到极致的空间特色。

里弄建筑的空间格局传承了中国传统对“院子”的偏好，然而不同于宝黛共读《西厢》的大观园、鲁迅种着两棵枣树的后园、老舍笔下折射人间冷暖的大杂院，里弄建筑的院子不仅是归家路上的一重空间序列、是住客聚集与生活百态上演的场所，更以小尺度无微不至地渗透进空间。

里弄建筑庭院是生活与诗意的结合体：

它一方面与实体空间相互裹挟，与使用者的生活高度黏结；

另一方面又无孔不入地渗透进每一个间隙，哪怕无法进入与使用，观景与采光亦足以。

Li Nong's architectural courtyard is a combination of life and poetry: it is intertwined with the physical space and highly cohesive with the user's life; it also penetrates into every gap without any penetration.

城开云外建筑单体优化了这样的结合关系，其中的院落空间亦被化整为零，容纳诸多活动的主院、偏静的、适合独处的偏院与强调景观功能的“缝隙空间”、竖直方向贯穿单体的中心天井；

地面院落空间与下沉庭院，共同编成一张网。

The courtyard space has been reduced to zero, the main courtyard that houses many activities, a quiet, solitary courtyard, and a "gap space" that emphasizes landscape functions the vertical pierce runs through the central patio of the unit; the ground courtyard space and the sunken courtyard form a net together.

不同于里弄建筑将逼仄的“亭子间”运用到极致的做法，城开云外的空间利用则是向地下与天空不断延伸，地下一层与夹层在提供足够多空间的同时，也带来两层通高的宽敞厅堂；

三层的建筑体量还原老虎窗的空间意向，更用露台丰富空间体验。

Different from the way in which Li Nong Architecture uses the dreaded "Kiosk", the space outside the city opens up to the ground and the sky.

大片白墙、格栅、屋瓦与披檐，无一不是上海老城厢中随处可见的建筑元素，在每一个老城厢居民的回忆里，已经斑驳的墙体、贴过传单的印记、雨拍瓦的声音、从小窗口里吊下篮子买一碗小馄饨的经历都变成了烙印在这些建筑元素中的“上海情结”。

Large white walls, grilles, roof tiles and eaves are all architectural elements that can be seen everywhere in Shanghai's old town halls. They has become the "Shanghai complex" imprinted in these architectural elements.
