The extensive forest landscape in Urfeld am Walchensee forms the background for Arnold / Werner's completely redeveloped holiday home from the 1960s. 

The focus is on the idea of using existing and local resources to breathe new life into a dilapidated old building. 

And so for the new attic, the gently curved building envelope and the built-in furniture exclusively white fir from the nearby Jachenau was used. 

Essential for the salvaged room atmosphere are the concentration on only a few natural materials, the restrained colourfulness as well as subtle furnishing details. 

Thanks to the roof-integrated photovoltaic panels, the wastewater treatment plant and the fireplace stove, it is possible to use the house summer or winter autonomously.
