The new hotelVilla Copenhagenhas recently opened in the building of the former General Post and Telegraph Office of Copenhagen. The building of 1912, built in the neo-baroque style, was recognized as an architectural monument, which means that special attention was riveted to this reconstruction. The main post office accommodated as many as 390 rooms, and this is not counting public spaces, five restaurants and an inner courtyard. The interiors are designed in a restrained and elegant manner typical of the Danish capital: light colors, natural materials, brass details. In addition, the rooms are decorated with works by the Danish symbolist artist Wilhelm Hammershoin and custom-made furniture. We really like the trend of remodeling old buildings – so they have a chance for a second, no less interesting, life!See also:Beautiful apartment of fashion guru in Denmark
