SOFT . MINIMALIST . POETIC

月印万川，处处皆圆。

万古长空，一朝风月。

The moon reflects on the myriad rivers, and everywhere is full of circles.

The sky has been there for ages, and the breeze and the moon are there for a single day.

虽然业主新居位于这座海派文化与国际潮流盛行的魔都中，但从与他们的交流中，我们可感受他们对曾经记忆中的江南水乡之质朴雅致、清新恬静的深层眷恋。

Although the new home of the owner is located in this metropolis full of Shanghai culture and international trends, we can feel their deep affection for the simplicity, elegance, and tranquility of the Jiangnan Water Town in their memories through communication with them.

所以这不仅是一个现代主义居所的技术与美学改造，也是一个关于外出游子家庭心中的江南烟雨与精神巢穴之重塑。

So this is not only a technological and aesthetic transformation of a modernist residence, but also a rebuilding of the Jiangnan mist and spiritual nest in the hearts of the traveling families.

退让原始的结构与墙体，从更大维度去看待空间与使用场景，我们得到了一个更加自由松弛的生活交流环境。

By giving way to the original structure and walls, and looking at space and usage scenarios from a larger perspective, we have obtained a more free and relaxed living and communication environment.

我们用当代极简主义的处理让功能与效率先行；再用少量新古典主义的秩序与美学去看待表皮；最后一以贯之的东方主义色彩与材质混搭，让人联想到“兴尽晚回舟，误入藕花深处”的富庶又闲适的江南语境。

We used contemporary minimalism to prioritize functionality and efficiency, and then used a small amount of neoclassicism to deal with order and aesthetics. Finally, we mixed the colors and materials of Easternism, which reminded people of the wealthy and leisurely Jiangnan context of "returning late in the evening, mistakenly entering the deep place with lotus flowers".

现代主义的“少即是多”与东方哲学的“小中见大”具备共性，而居所这个最具人文关怀的空间命题，是可以延展我们诸多关于自然与记忆中的美好意向与艺术包容。

Modernism’s "less is more" and Eastern philosophy’s "small but significant" share common ground, and the dwelling, as the most humanistic space, can extend our many beautiful intentions and artistic inclusiveness about nature and memory.

生活之真不在他处，就在当下、眼前、内心。世界的意义也是在一种纯粹体验的境界中“见”出，所谓自在地显现，所谓“万古长空，一朝风月”。

The truth of life is not elsewhere, but now, in front of us, in our hearts.

The meaning of the world is seen in a state of pure experience, which is called "freely appearing", or "the sky has been there for ages, and the breeze and the moon are there for a single day".
