Petersburg cinema center, owned by the Cinema Park network, has changed beyond recognition: rather than looking at outdated design, viewers now fall into outer space.

Nefa Architects decided right away to abandon the classical design of the cinema and came up with several ideas that helped rebuild the cinema's appearance modeling it after numerous counterparts. The final decision was to recreate an amazing cosmic interior.

What associations evoke in a person references to space? Of course, an infinite sky, a variety of planets and shining stars, fantastic spaceships, on which one can travel through time, aliens creating life outside the Earth. This and much more formed the basis of the concept and the elements that harmoniously filled the cinema space.

The peculiar "cinema cosmos" has been been worked out to the smallest detail: clusters of polygonal lamps are hovering in the air creating the illusion of an endless passage, a restaurant whose appearance corresponds to its name "Filling Station", space icons serving both as a decoration and convenient navigation for visitors . Visiting the cinema would be a memorable experience for any cinemagoer.

In the process of renovation of the premises, the only difficulty encountered by the studio architects was having to adhere to a specific budget. Concerning the space itself, the architecture of the room determined the approaches and possibilities. For example, it was decided no to close up the high ceiling of the shopping center, but on the contrary, to open it up and paint in black, transforming it into a starry sky.
