Architectural illusions

The architecture is the scenography of real world.

In these pictures architecture is staged as if it were an architectural play.

Architecture and scenography have common elements as both interpret a text‐project.

In these illustrations I try to transform some famous architects in set designer of his own work.

I imagine spaces set up for a performance of a show that relates the architects’ work.

Stage machinery that simulate architectural illusions, which draw from the language of the

characters to represent an architectural metaphor.

The architecture dress up, wears makeup and is transformed to play herself in a show where the

volumes and forms write the dramaturgy and relating stories.

A virtual theater where the scenography, the architecture, the light, the shapes and the objects

create a tiny show to make a short trip with the imagination and fantasy through an aesthetic

universe inspired by architecture and some of its protagonists.

The lights go down... let the show begin.

Illusioni architettoniche

L’architettura è la scenografia della vita reale.

In queste immagini l’architettura è messa in scena come se fosse uno spettacolo architettonico.

Architettura e scenografia hanno elementi comuni in quanto entrambe interpretano un testoprogetto.

In queste illustrazioni provo a trasformare alcuni architetti in scenografi della propia opera.

Immagino spazi allestiti per una rappresentazione di uno spettacolo che narra l’opera degli

architetti.

Macchine sceniche che simulano illusioni architettoniche, che attingono dal linguaggio dei

protagonisti per rappresentare una metáfora architettonica.

L’architettura si veste, si trucca e si trasforma per interpretare se stessa in uno spettacolo dove i

volumi e le forme scrivono la drammaturgia e raccontano storie.

Le luci si abbassano... lo spettacolo comincia.
