Arco Offices – Hull 现代安全行业中心

RFD Interior Architecture were commissioned by safety equipment supplier, Arco, to deliver their new customer engagement center located in Hull, England.

The project was designed to deliver a high tech hub for their new venture. Developers and landlord Allenby Commercial were instrumental in assisting with delivering this fresh, bold and creative project.

The project aim was to radically modernise a traditional call centre environment and to represent the company’s image correctly internally. It was essential to create multiple spaces within the environment for brainstorming, fast meeting, large group breakout and laptop working, as well as relaxation areas in the café and city garden.

RFD worked with the client to extend the Arco brand representation within the interior design scheme with new graphics, artwork and associated safety concepts including arrows, chevrons, materials and safety hatchings associated with their trades and industry.

The design concept was to use simple colours and a relaxed play on the safety industry which has created fun and quirky zones to work and play.

The ceilings have been exposed to reveal raw concrete soffits alongside plaster boarded apexes to different zones, with black painted steelwork and raw wood and OSB finishes. These industrial finishes have been twinned with yellow zigzag lighting, full colour architectural glass meeting boxes and brightly coloured acoustic pyramid / arrow wall panels.

Biophilic design has now been recognised as a wellbeing enhancer in offices so we added plenty of plants and created a botanical inspired garden zone within the hidden courtyard, including table tennis and table football, opposite a 5 metre breakfast bar for the staff to enjoy in their downtime.

The RFD team thoroughly enjoyed working with a very successful client Arco, and one of the city’s leading developers Allenby Commercial to create an environment which will allow the employees to excel in customer engagement in an amazing working environment.
