橡树林的回忆 | Cleve West 的 M&G 花园

Cleve West：2016年，M & G Investments第二次委托获奖的Cleve West作为RHS切尔西花卉展览的花园设计师。由Cleve设计的M & G花园被授予RHS金牌，这是他在展会上的第六枚金牌。

Cleve West：In 2016 M&G Investments commissioned award-winning Cleve West as there garden designer for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for a second time. The M&G Garden, designed by Cleve was awarded an RHS Gold Medal, which was his sixth at the Show.

这座古老的橡树林主题花园的灵感来自Cleve童年时对Exmoor的回忆，这是他迄今为止最具个人风格的作品之一。花园的中心部分是一个下沉式露台和灰色砂岩的水池，来自Dean森林。边缘锐利，布局几何化，是现代园林设计的精髓。

The ancient oak woodland themed garden was inspired by Cleve’s childhood memories of Exmoor making it one of his most personal creations to date. The centrepiece of the garden was a sunken terrace and pool in grey sandstone, sourced from The Forest of Dean. Edges were sharp and the layout geometric, the essence of a modern garden design.

花园的特色是穿过林地边缘种植的石子路，穿过矮小的橡树和岩石后，通向一条更平坦的道路。这条道路象征着Cleve自己的花园设计之旅，开始于粗糙的石头和碎石，最后都变得更加光滑，锯开的石头朝着凹陷的“设计”空间延伸。

The garden featured a stone and gravel path through woodland edge planting, leading past stunted oaks and rocks to a smoother path. The path, a metaphor for Cleve’s own journey into garden design, started with rough stone and gravel becoming smoother with sawn stone towards the sunken, ‘designed’ space.

以橡树林为灵感的花园有七棵树和其他植物，包括灌木、多年生植物、草、蕨类植物、球茎植物和一年生植物。

The oak-woodland inspired garden featured seven trees and other planting including shrubs, perennials, grasses, ferns, bulbs and annuals.
