光影之“物”

Kahn El material de este edificio no es tanto el físico con que se ha construido, sino la materia en que la luz va siendo absorbida. Es una materia definida por absorción de luz, reflejos, transparencias, densidades… La luz filtrada, los colores del cielo, unos árboles, las diferentes horas del día, las estaciones del año, los ángulos solares… todos estos materiales lujosísimos son parte del edificio, y son gratis. En vez de intentar imponernos al entorno, lo recogemos y transformamos en protagonista.

The material of this building is not so much the physics with which it has been constructed, but the matter in which the light is being absorbed. It is a matter defined by absorption of light, reflections, transparencies, densities ...

Filtered light, sky colors, trees, different times of day, seasons of the year, solar angles ... all these luxurious materials are part of the building, and there are free.

Instead of trying to impose ourselves on the environment, we collect and transform it into a protagonist.
