城市因交通而兴,交通因城市而盛。张家港高铁站的落成推动了苏州高铁新城的发展,而高铁新城又因此带动了区域内交通方式的枢纽聚集。本案两个公交站台起到的示范作用,如同向高铁新城中投入的石子激起阵阵涟漪。未来更多步行可达的公交站点将与轨交衔接,共同推动都市圈的联动发展。
交通建筑枢纽化时代的到来,交通建筑逐渐超脱公共服务设施的基础功能。业主希望我们在解决效率、服务民生的同时,能够设计出一个强调旅客体验,展现在地性特点的公交站台。

Cities thrive because of traffic, and traffic thrives because of cities. The completion of Zhangjiagang high-speed railway station promotes the development of Suzhou high-speed railway New City, which has driven the hubs gathering of regional transportation modes. In this case, the two bus stops play a demonstration role, like stones thrown into the high-speed rail new city to stir up ripples. In the future, more bus stations that can be reached by walking will connect with the rail to jointly promote the linkage development of the metropolitan area.
Transportation building gradually detached from the basic function of public service facilities. The client wanted us to design a bus stop that emphasized passenger experience and displayed local characteristics while addressing efficiency and serving people’s livelihood.

公交站台作为城市中最常见的基础配套设施之一,等候公车的过程往往枯燥且乏味,人们未曾意识到等候的过程可以是多样的。这一次,我们对“等候”一词进行思考,希望借由“等候+N”的复合空间模型创造出功能多义的等候空间,丰富人们的等候行为。
As one of the most common infrastructure facilities in cities, the process of waiting is often boring and tedious. People do not realize that the process of waiting can be varied. This time, we think about the word “waiting” and hope to create a multi-functional waiting space by using the composite space model of “waiting + N”  to enrich people’s waiting behavior.

在对公交站台”N”功能的甄选上,我们着眼于整个高铁新城片区,以服务周边的微型邻里中心作为研究单元。在补齐微型邻里中心单元中所缺失的功能后,与公交站台最原始的“等候”功能进行良好地结合,创造出一个集遮挡、交流、咨询、卫生、停歇等体验于一体的站台空间。期望透过公交站台的设计针灸式地激活整个高铁新城片区、乃至整座城市中具有多功能用途的微型邻里中心。
In the selection of “N” functions of the bus stops, we focus on the whole high-speed rail new town area, and take the micro neighborhood center serving the surrounding as the research unit. The missing functions are well combined with the “waiting” function of the bus station to create a platform space integrating shelter, communication, consultation, sanitation, rest and other experience. We expect that the design of bus stops will activate the whole high-speed rail new town area and become a multifunctional micro neighborhood center in the whole city.

不论是起伏的屋面、出挑的屋檐,还是多区室外候车等设计,整个公交站台的设计,都从细节上体现出高度的人本关怀。起伏的屋面与人群、公车的尺度相互适应;出挑的屋檐将夏日正午的阳光挡在室外,让冬日的暖阳洒进室内;多区室外候车的设计可以避免候车人群因使用其他附属空间而错过等候的班车。
The design of the whole bus station shows a high degree of humanistic care from the details. The undulating roof adapts to the scale of crowds and buses. The overhanging eaves block out the summer noon sun and let the winter sun into the interior. The design of multi-zone outdoor waiting can avoid missing the bus due to the use of other auxiliary space.

同时,在造型设计方面,我们将车站的设计代入周边环境,以高铁概念作为主旨,通过建筑语汇加以转译,以其造型的简单、流动、极具动感和可识别性,形成富有高铁新城特色的立面形象和适度的标志性。白色铝板和斜向金属竖挺的组合有利于塑造站台空间的叙事性特点,使旅客在远观或静看中产生犹如身处飞驰列车中的时空体验。
At the same time, in terms of shape design, we substitute the design of the station into the surrounding environment. With the concept of high-speed railway as the main theme and the translation of architectural vocabulary, the facade image with characteristics of high-speed railway new Town is formed with its simple, flowing, dynamic and recognizable features. The combination of white aluminum plate and oblique metal upright is conducive to shaping the narrative characteristics of the platform space, so that passengers can experience time and space as if they were in a speeding train.

我们希望藉由建筑设计的手法缓解等待公交过程中的消极情绪,不只鼓励大家在忙碌中能有属于自我的放空空间,享受休闲的乐趣,触摸生活的温度,同时引导一个高效、安全、舒适且具有人文关怀的公共交通空间。
