Hikohito Konishi was born in 1964 in Hiroo cho, Hokkaido, Japan. After graduating from the Art and Technology Department at Hokkaido Tokai University in 1986, he was involved over ten years in the design of architectures in many aspects, both on a small and large scale, at Kazuhiro Ishii Architect and Associates and Edward Suzuki Associates in Tokyo.
